PREAMBLE
Manager – Design & Development is the key stake holder for the product design and development functions. He will be the prime member of the design team, co-ordinate, support the team with relevant guidance for the Design and development of the product. He will understand the department requirements and satisfy the needs respectively.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITIES
Responsibilities include, although are not limited to the following:
- Authority for mechanical engineering drawing release of the 2D drawings.
- Provide line management to the team
- Work closely with the Design Team to ensure departmental objectives are defined and met
- Align, cascade and agree individual objectives to support overall achievement of the department and functional objectives
- Provide a strong interface with other functions and teams.
- Encourage and enable the team for delivery of work products considering cost, quality and timing
- Perform reviews of work packages completed by the mechanical team and manage the engineering changes
- Ensure requirements, specifications, standards and legislation are available to the design team and manage non-conformance
- Contribute to the continued evolution of company’s product development process and ensure that it is understood, managed and executed
- Support continuous improvement of relevant systems and procedures
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Mechanical/ B.Tech Mechanical with 8-10 years of Experience
- Sound knowledge in Solid Works Part, Sub – Assy, Assy and 2D Drawing.
- GD&T and Tolerance Stack up knowledge.
- PDM/PLM Expertise
- Having Experience with Electro Mechanical Machine Development processes an added advantage.
- VAVE Project Expertise.
REPORTING RELATIONS
- Bottom UP: GM Product Engineering & Design
- Top Down – Sr. Design Engineers, Design Engineers
